Mahila Seva Samaja, celebrated 77th Independence Day of the nation in a grand manner. Chief Guest Smt.Gayathri Rao hoisted the national flag. The programme was attended by President Smt.Parimala Rao, the Vice President and Treasurer Smt.Padmini Gokhale, the teaching and non-teaching staff and students.
The band group and NCC cadets performed well. The cultural programme held in the School Auditorium included speeches on the significance of the Independence Day, Patriotic songs and dances based on compositions in different languages and Yoga demonstration. Smt.Padmini Gokhale distributed the prizes for class-room decoration which were based on the themes – Prevention of war – Promotion of peace. The over all programme was colourful and informative.
