Geminiod Meteor Shower at Shola Height, Chikkamagalur
The students and staff of the Astro club of Mahila Seva Samaja, Bangalore had the experience of a fascinating Star -gazing trip to Shola-Heights -an optimal star-gazing location near Kudremukh in Karnataka.
Viewing through the Telescope and the expert guidance by specialists in the field of Astronomy equipped the group in their pursuit for gathering insights of the Celestial sphere.
Spotting of some stars, planets, galaxies, constellations, meteor showers, Messier objects and many other interesting features of the sky provided the awe – inspiring, exhilarating, exciting enriching and educative experiences to the group of sky- watchers.
Empowered with some additional inputs about the realm beyond the earth, the Astro-group returned to Bangalore with the much – needed, take – away message, “Preserve the skies for future explorations”.
